Nepal participates in 56th IFATCA’s (Int’l Federation of Air Traffic Controller’s Associations) Annual Conference

International Federation of Air Traffic Controller’s Associations (IFATCA) is running 5 days long conference “IFATCA2017: TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS TOGETHER” starting from today. The event is being held in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

The conference is hosted by the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association (CATCA) and will promote a high standard of knowledge and professional efficiency amongst Air Traffic Controllers.

Four representatives from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) departed to Canada for participating in the annual conference. Deputy Director of CAAN Mr. Shyam Kishor Shah, ATC officers Anup Joshi, Dipak Ojha and Umesh Kumar Panthi are the representatives from Nepal.

IFATCA is a worldwide organization representing more than fifty thousand air traffic controllers in 126 countries. The Federation comprises of Member Associations that are divided into four regions – Africa & Middle East, Americas, Asia & Pacific and Europe.

CATCA is a trade union representing all Air Traffic Controllers in Canada whose mission is to promote the status, working conditions, compensation and security of the membership and to promote aviation safety.
