In response to coronavirus (COVID-19), the Chinese Army (People’s Liberation Army Air Force) has sent an air force aircraft containing tons of medical supplies to the Nepal Army to bolster the country’s efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Diplomatic Flight, an IL-76 aircraft with registration ‘21043”, Flight No. CAF 043 from the China Air Force departed the airport in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province for Nepal’s capital Kathmandu on Tuesday morning under command of Capt. Wang Xiao Liang and the other 14 officials. The aircraft made a landing at Tribhuvan International Airport at 09:00 AM. The aircraft had directly flown to Kathmandu and will have a ground time at TIA for around 02:00 hours.

Earlier in May 6, the Chinese Government had already handed over the third batch of medical supplies that includes 10,000 KN95 masks, 338,000 disposable surgical masks, and 9,000 PPEs and protective goggles to the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal.
