The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has operated two microbuses. It has been said that after the use of microbus, passengers will not have to take a taxi. Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Ale inaugurated the bus service today. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Tourism, Tok Raj Pandey, informed that CAAN has started the bus service at the airport. According to him, CAAN has been requested to arrange two more buses.
Taxis have been charging exorbitant prices for domestic passengers at the airport. Passengers were complaining that they had to pay high costs even on short routes. Passengers will now be able to use the bus from Golden Gate. It will be easier for passengers to use the public transport on the ring road after getting off the bus. The problem of walking to the main road after landing at Tribhuvan International Airport and paying exorbitant taxi fare has been removed.
