On the Dashain festival leave, the Nepal Army has made plans to send the soldiers in their own vehicles. The army already rendered plans to send them home with its aircraft and vehicles due to the possibility of corona outbreaks in public transport. Army spokesperson Santosh Vallabh Poudel said that the army’s movement control division plans for the vehicle and routes configuration.
“We will release as few people as possible on the Dashain of this year. We have arranged plans to send those who can navigate the route to places by bus, helicopter, and aircraft,” said spokesman Poudel. The Nepal Army has three large helicopters, three small helicopters, three skytrucks.
The army would then start taking the faraway soldiers to the airport on leave. Frameworks have been created to carry them to the barracks at their various places from the airport.
Correspondingly, plans were made by helicopter to enter the hilly and mountainous districts. In nearby regions, the army would operate its bus. Spokesperson Poudel said that trucks had been arranged in line with the road and the number of soldiers on leave.
The same rule applies to return from vacation. The army will bring in its own vehicle. The army is planning just after PCR to hold the returning soldiers in quarantine and deploy them.
To protect its soldiers from corona infection, the army has made such arrangements.
Corona infection has been seen in 3,244 soldiers of the Nepalese army so far. One thousand seven hundred sixty-seven of them have recovered and have gone to work. Two soldiers died as a result of infection with corona. The soldiers who have lost their lives are from Tanahun and Ramechhap. He even had a chronic illness.
Because of the coronavirus, the military has discontinued periodic preparation. Through virtual media, the collective discussion is carried out. Soldiers deployed in peace missions are also sent only after conducting corona tests and adopting special vigilance.
