Summit Air’s newly arrived Let-410 will operate shortly as it receives registration ‘9N-AMP’

Summit Air’s newly arrived Let L-410 UVPE-20 aircraft has already received the registration number from the CAAN which is ‘9N-AMP’ and is waiting for the final correspondence from the CAAN to receive the air operation certificate. The aircraft will initiate its commercial operation right after the necessary pending documentations from the authority.

The aircraft had arrived Tribhuvan International Airport with registration ‘ZS-ZAA’. As per the information, the aircraft will be operated with the same plain white livery along with the company’s logo implanted.

Summit air after receiving the additional aircraft is planning to start its new destination to Jomsom. Marketing Director at Summit Air Manjani Shrestha Dangol said, “At present we are only operating flights to our regular destination airport and will commence flight to Jomson by spring of this year.”

The aircraft is equipped with latest Avionics (EGPWS, TCAS, Weather Radar and Auto Pilot). This would be the first aircraft in Nepal in its category with air conditioning facility, added Dangol.

Summit Air after this addition owns four L410 UVPE-20 Aircraft in its fleet. But the aircraft, in general, is the fifth LET aircraft owned by the airline. Previously, Goma Air lost one (9N-AKY’-MSN 2917) in a catastrophic crash at Lukla Airport on 27 May this year.

Current destinations that summit air flies to are Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Lukla, Phalpu, Rumjatar, Tumlingtar, Pokhara, Simikot, Jumla and Bajura. It also conducts charter and cargo flights to Juphal Airport, Dolpa.
