Sushil Ghimire, the chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation, has resigned from the post. Following the change of Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Ghimire resigned as chairman of Nepal Airlines.

He had resigned, according to ministry officials. Ghimire was selected as the executive chairman of Nepal Airlines by the government at a cabinet meeting on April 14, 2020. He is also a former secretary. Ghimire was appointed chairman on the recommendation of Yogesh Bhattarai.

Even if the reason for his resignation is unknown, it is assumed that he resigned because working with the new minister would be uncomfortable. Minister of Culture and Tourism Uma Shankar Agaria has been appointed.
