TIA resumes itโ€™s service after half an hour: Five aircraft diverted

After the extreme high gusty wind of afternoon, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has resumed itโ€™s service. The wind was reported to be above 40 knots.

According to the spokesperson of TIA Mr. Bhola Guragain, one Jetstream-41 of Yeti airlines and one ATR of Buddha Air en route to Kathmandu from Chandragadi were diverted back to Biratnagar whereas Air Arabia A320-200 and Jet Airways B737-800 were diverted to Lucknow Airport. Also, one aircraft en route to Pokhara was diverted back to Kathmandu.
